- Amateur Radio — licensed since 1992 as KC8SES. DMR, HF, and slowly rebuilding my Morse code skills.
- Electronics — home automation and tinkering.
- Beekeeping — two 8-frame hives in the backyard.
- Mountain Biking — the trails around Boyne and up north.
- Fishing — the Boyne River in season.
